Even the liveliest of men have been in despair one day and that day he must have thought not to repeat , as what despair gives us is nothing good.
And that man in his forties cracks the the funniest of jokes in gatherings impressing men with intellect or no intellect at all as that's how jokes create a laughable ambience. Even if one don't understand a joke he laugh just not to get embarrassed. It must have happened with everyone (I guess). So that man who pretends to be the happiest is also in despair when he is surrounded by none.
So what we see most of the times is not even close to reality, truth remains hidden somewhere behind the lips of the one who is lying all over to keep the truth safe in a locker. People lie at times and tell it to take it is as a joke.
How fun it is to hide something by using any jovial idiom..
I had a brother Who could not live any further He aspired to be a writer of science Cold bloodedly we murdered his conscience He loved activism and Carl Sagan To murder him we turned satan He fought against caste discrimination We couldn't bear his grit and determination A student par excellence An astute epitome of erudite prudence A mind made of brilliant stardust His intellect astoundingly robust An avid reader the system murdered His scholarship stopped, from college suspended From poorest of villages and meagre means Aspiring for a job but we crushed his dreams A zephyr strangled Insanity tangled What explanation can we give for this institutional murder? It's a shame that caste, class and patriarchy left his soul asunder... _________________________________ Rohith Vemula was a Ph.D scholar in University of Hyderabad. Was vice president of Ambedkar Students Association. Was suspended from campus and his Junior Research Fellowship stipend was stopped. He was poor with his mother and siblings dependent on his scholarship. He dreamt of working after completing his studies. He dream of providing his family a house. He was a brilliant student getting admission in the university without reservation. He committed suicide when all roads seemed to end. He wrote to Modi, Rahul, Arundhathi Roy and others to which no one responded. He was a victim of caste discrimination. He was wrongly accused by BJP supported ABVP. Nobody helped him and his suicide is an INSTITUTIONAL MURDER.
And the strangest thing is that we are not even accepting that caste system exists!!!!!
Please WAKE UP!
JAI BHEEM!!! JAI BHEEM!!! _________________________________ I share here excerpts from his suicide letter:
//I always wanted to be a writer. A writer of science, like Carl Sagan. At last, this is the only letter I am getting to write.
The value of a man was reduced to his immediate identity and nearest possibility. To a vote. To a number. To a thing. Never was a man treated as a mind. As a glorious thing made up of star dust. In every field, in studies, in streets, in politics, and in dying and living.
Let my funeral be silent and smooth. Behave like I just appeared and gone. Do not shed tears for me. Know that I am happy dead than being alive.// __________________________________ Thanks for reading. Know that silence will kill more of my brothers and sisters. I still have hope. And I will not let this voice die.
